XBMC4Xbox 3.5.3 has been released. A smaller update again, but includes some weather and scraper fixes, and some library updates. Changes since 3.5.1 include: -- Improved compatibility with some Kodi addons. -- Fixes for the TMDB scraper. -- Fix for weather location search and data. -- Python updated to 2.7.11 (including updated SQLite3/OpenSSL). -- Fix for a problem with stuttering video. -- FFMpeg libraries updated to 1.2.12 (the last of the 1.2 series). The popular port of MAME on the original Xbox has been recently updated Gamezfan continues to fine-tune his port of the MAMEmulator on the orgiinal classic, now retro Xbox console, adding in support more games, and many small improvements to make everything run smoother. The original Xbox has alot to offer still, it well supported, stable, and affordable to purchase if you don't have one yet, and easy to mod, and besides playing the games that it originally came with, once you have it customized, you will find it makes a great emulation box also, and one of the better emulators out there for it is the MAME port by Gamezfan and he recently updated and added more tweaks. The recently released XBOX One External Storage Device Converter has now been updated by author 'Angerwound' to version 1.1 with lots more useful features, here is the full changelog: *Changes* - Ability for creation of new storage devices allowing people without the June System Preview update to make use of external storage! - Ability for USB 2.0 drives to be used with the console. - Capability to create and utilize multiple partitions on a single drive for use with the XBOX One. Overview: This application will make a hard drive used for XBOX One External Storage (released in the June System Update); recognizable to a PC for read/write of the data. It will also allow you the ability to create an XBOX One External Storage device right from the application. This allows people without the June Preview Update to utilize External Storage capabilities in the latest Public System Update. Note: This application requires Administrator privileges on execution otherwise it may state "No storage devices found". Usage: (Enable read/write of XBOX One External Storage Device) 1) Plug in your XBOX One external storage device into your PC after it has been formatted for use on your console. 2) Open the application and choose "SCAN". 3) Your device should be listed. Right click and choose "Enable PC Mode". 4) Choose scan again; and you should see that your device is now in PC Mode. 5) Disconnect/Reconnect your drive and Windows should now mount the drive allowing you to read/write the files stored by the console. RGH2 (phat) firmware for X360ACE released
Nice update for RGH'ing the Phat Xbox360's consoles by 15432 15432 over at hackfaq.net has released custom firmwares in XSVF format for X360ACE v1/v2 to support RGH2 in fat Xbox 360 consoles. The firmware files can be flashed via JTAG interface. ModRobert over at EurAsia is reporting that 15432 has released a nice update for the X360ACE glitch'ing chips that are very affordable let via stable, so now with this custom firmware you be able to easy RGH your Phat Xbox 360 console. Xbox 360 Winbond 2KB Problem Solved
XeLL image and XeBuild patches released Russian hacker has released solution for new unglitchable consoles 15432 (Russia) and DrShottky (Italia) have released XeLL images and XeBuild patches compatible with Winbond RAM. Someday I’ve promised to start working at my own Winbond solution, if TX won’t release it soon. I thought, if somebody can do that, I can do that, too! (Now I understand, that was slightly wrong belief) After the first failure, I had to delay everything for a month (mountains, sea, other rest). I’ve returned a week ago, and started research from scratch. I had only Trinity console (thanks to grifon2006!!) and lots of hardware tools (sent by mixail21). But the most important help was from an italian colleague (DrShottky), he solved a lot of problems and suggested main ideas. So..This project was made not only by me, we all did it! Thank you, guys! Looks like Microsoft is still improving the Xbox 360 console, releasing yet another new model, and because it is new PCB layout with a smaller die chipset, it is sadly incompatible with the current RGH hacking setups, leaving those buying these new Xbox 360 consoles unable to mod them correctly. "KonzolozZ over at team-xecuter.com has posted info about a new Xbox 360 Corona motherboard bundled as 500GB + Fifa 15 Pack which is incompatible with RGH. Various observations from the forum post: The CGPU is without IHS, and the type is: 4672991 D-A3;X888841-001. Featuring SKhynix or ST NAND Samsung K4J10324KG-HC14 NAND flash.
