No more Kinect, Only $399 Now, and No more paywall for 'streaming' apps like NetFlix Just weeks before E3, Microsoft has done another huge 180 on their Xbox One Marketing plans, by dumping Kinect finally, and removing Xbox Live Gold from its apps, and dropping the price to $399 & more Lots of people are wondering why Microsoft didn't wait until E3 for their big Press Conference to announce the huge changes to Xbox One , so they could hype up the 'listen to consumers' on stage and rape in all the free mainstream press coverage, but instead they decided to silently leak out the huge changes via MajorNelson and other blogs, and they are big ones. -- No More Kinect. -- Xbox One to be only $399 Now. -- And no more paywall for Netflix, Twitch and other key apps, all FREE now. Besides the above there is bunch of other changes listed below, and it seems M$ wants to remove that growing gap between their rival PS4, and even tho E3 is 5 weeks away, they can't afford to wait and allow that gap to get any bigger, and now going all-in to win this next-gen console war, with E3 being solely focused on their huge exclusive line-up of new games due to be release thru-out 2014/15. Here is what Major Nelson said about the sudden changes to Xbox One: First, beginning on June 9th, in all markets where Xbox One is sold, we will offer Xbox One starting at $399*. This is a new console option that does not include Kinect. For $399, our new Xbox One offering will continue to deliver access to the best blockbuster games like "Titanfall," "Call of Duty: Ghosts," "Forza Motorsport 5," "Dead Rising 3," and the upcoming "Watch Dogs," "Destiny" and "Sunset Overdrive." Šíření koronaviru v islámském světě

Ze zemí islámského světa zasáhla pandemie v první vlně nejprve Singapur a Írán. Každá z těchto zemí reagovala velmi odlišně a s odlišnými výsledky. V islámském světě byly v polovině dubna nejpostiženějšími zeměmi Írán (73 303 nemocných/4 585 úmrtí) a poté Turecko (61 049/1 296), které se umístily na osmém a devátém místě světového počtu nákaz. Dalšími, méně postiženými zeměmi, avšak s rostoucími počty nakažených, byly Pákistán (5 500/266) a Saúdská Arábie (5 495/472), Spojené arabské emiráty (5 000 nakažených), Katar (3 231/252) a Singapur (2 918/385). K méně nakaženým patřily Egypt (2 190/125), Alžírsko (1 983/69), Maroko (1 763/102), Irák (1 378/26), Bahrajn (1 348/212), Kuvajt (1 300/66), Ázerbájdžán (1 148/50), Kazachstán (1 091/140), Bangladéš (803/182), Omán (727/128), Tunisko (726/19), Afghánistán (665/58), Libanon (632/2). Uvedená čísla je ale nutné brát s rezervou: jen málokterá země masivně testuje a zjištěné počty nakažených i zemřelých se často nezakládají na srovnatelných metodách. Přesto lze říci, že pandemie prostoupila celým islámským světem, přičemž Írán, Singapur a Turecko byly mezi prvními; rovněž lze konstatovat, že veškeré země přijímají ve více či menší míře podobná protipandemická opatření. Odpovědi na pandemii Odpovědi islámských zemí jsou různorodé v závislosti na síle, centralizaci a zdrojích státního aparátu. Výjimečným případem je hypermoderní ostrovní autoritářský stát Singapur, ve kterém se podařilo nákazu rychle a efektivně omezit v samém začátku krize díky kolektivní hygieně, dodržování odstupu, vysoké informovanosti a spolupráci občanů, masivnímu testování a karanténním opatřením. Dalšími oběťmi nákazy jsou dva podobně lidnaté a relativně vyspělé a akceschopné státy. Irán patří k silně zasaženým zemím, a to v druhé vlně, v samém začátku globální pandemie. I kvůli tomuto rychlému šíření přišla reakce státu s určitým zpožděním a nekoherentně: opatření se stupňovala, nedosáhla úrovně restrikcí řady jiných zemí. Přes modernizované zdravotnictví je íránská schopnost reakce silně omezená jednostranným embargem USA, které kriminalizuje obchod s Íránem. Země má tedy potíže vyvážet plyn a ropu – jejichž cena navíc silně klesla – a dovážet zdravotnický materiál. Írán tak zůstává nejvíce nakaženou muslimskou zemí. Afghánští uprchlíci, často žijící v Íránu v ilegalitě, se masivně vracejí domů. Další silně zasažená země, Turecko, postupně přijala řadu striktních protiepidemických opatření jako uzavírání škol, a dokonce i uzavření třiceti jedna měst, zastavení veřejných akcí a nošení státem zajištěných neplacených roušek. I tak se Turecko v první polovině dubna stalo jednou ze zemí s nejrychleji se šířící nákazou. Přes vysoké počty nakažených prohlašují í Írán i Turecko odpověď na nákazu za úspěšnou. Turecko v dubnu snížilo optimismus a přidalo další restrikce, ale snaží se plnit svou roli regionální mocnosti humanitárními gesty (více dole). Naopak Íránu se podle WHO podařilo zpomalit růst nákazy a začíná uvolňovat určité protipandemické restrikce, ale zachovává nařízení sociálního odstupu. Měsíc po oficiálním vypuknutí globální pandemie lze už říct, že sanitární krize je zátěžovým testem pro vládní akceschopnost, ale i příležitostí pro prosazování státních politik. Ropné státy jako Saúdská Arábie a Alžírsko budou muset čelit menším příjmům z důvodu poklesu cen ropy a také oslabené legitimitě stávajících režimů. Írán, Irák, Alžírsko i Súdán se během loňského podzimu staly dějištěm masových protivládních protestů – ty krize sice zastavila, ale naopak uvalila další zkoušku na už tak kritizované vlády. Protipandemická opatření totiž přinášejí krátkodobou stabilitu, ale utlumení ekonomiky a omezení obživy početných chudých může vést k výraznému oslabení vlád – jež zpravidla nedisponují fondy na omezení sociálních dopadů. Proto jsou opatření zpravidla přijímána také až pod tlakem alarmujících čísel. Pákistánský premiér tak v polovině března nebyl ochoten přistoupit na přísný zákaz vycházení, jak to učinila sousední Indie, protože čtvrtina obyvatelstva „by zemřela hladem“. Jiné země jsou naopak schopny vidět v krizi příležitost k vehementnímu prosazování nesouvisejících vládních politik. Turecko využilo krize k humanitární diplomacii. Přes pozastavené diplomatické vztahy mezi ním a Izraelem podpořilo zdravotnickým materiálem palestinskou samosprávu a Velkou Británii, jakož i Itálii, Španělsko a balkánské země. Maroko se zase chystá využít tvrdé restrikce, nabízené kompenzace a chytrou karanténu ke zvýšení informovanosti o vlastním obyvatelstvu a větší kontrole veřejných projevů. V Kosovu opozice s pomocí USA položila vládu a otevřela ústavní krizi v samém začátku epidemie. Všude, i v méně zasažených zemích, jakými jsou Súdán a Alžírsko, vlády postupně přistoupily k omezení pohybu na veřejnosti, letecké dopravy a masových akcí a k zavírání obchodů a škol. Ve všech zemích budou mít restriktivní opatření dopady na ekonomiku, zejména v těch, které nemají finanční zásoby – jako např. Jordánsko. V těch nejméně rozvinutých či zasažených válkou lze očekávat devastující dopady na zdraví a obživu chudých vrstev obyvatelstva a také šíření nákazy mezi těmi, kdo závisejí na šedé ekonomice jako zdroji obživy. Země postižené válkou, nestabilitou nebo chudobou jako Jemen, Sýrie, Afghánistán a Súdán – nedisponují dostatečnou lékařskou péčí, ventilátory, testy a ani finanční rezervou pro financování protipandemických opatření. Právě ve velkém počtu zemí ve válečném stavu lze přes dosavadní pomalý průběh očekávat nezvladatelné vypuknutí epidemie. Náboženství a karanténa Pandemie výrazně omezila a omezí náboženská shromáždění. Islámské instituce s určitým zdráháním přijaly restriktivní opatření. První je byl nucen učinit Írán: nákaza se zřejmě šířila z Qomu, politického centra íránského šíitského islámu. Tam ji v začátku, ještě před vypuknutím otevřené krize, pravděpodobně urychlily hromadné náboženské rituály a koncentrace vysoce mobilních funkcionářů islámské republiky. Irán se tak stal jednou ze zemí, kde nejenže se nakazili vedoucí politici, ale kde jich i řada zemřela. V Pákistánu a v Indii byly podobně jako v Jižní Koreji rané případy šíření nákazy spojené s globální misijní skupinou Tablihi Jamaat, která organizuje masová shromáždění. Centra hnutí v Dilí, v Láhauru v Pákistánu a v Malajsii jsou podezřelá jako ohniska šíření. V Indii se o této skupině a o muslimech obecně šíří poplašné zprávy a existující komunitní napětí mezi většinovými hinduisty a menšinovými muslimy se prohlubuje. Během března muslimové po celém světě omezili nebo zcela zastavili stěžejní islámský rituál a jeden z tzv. pilířů islámu, společnou páteční modlitbu. Pro svou hromadnost a rituální blízkost při řazení se do tzv. saffů, řad, je páteční rituál vysoce riskantní. První zemí, která toto zásadní opatření přijala, byl Írán. Jiné země se pokoušely sloučit páteční modlitby a tzv. sociální odstup, ale neúspěšně. Dnes už žádné páteční modlitby neprobíhají v nejméně dvanácti větších muslimských zemích, které byly nejvíce postiženy nákazou, a další postupně přibývají. Nákaza ukázala i různé formy náboženské organizace neboli tzv. governance of islam. V centralizovaných zemích se silným státem a státním dozorem nad náboženskými organizacemi, jako je Írán, Turecko, Saúdská Arábie a Egypt, bylo toto opatření možné rychle přijmout a vynutit. V Turecku zavření mešit oznámil ministr náboženských záležitostí Ali Erbaš a jeho úřad nechal doplnit tradiční výzvu k modlitbě (tzv. ezán) doporučením modlit se doma. Jinde se modlitba z prázdných mešit přenáší mikrofony či přes internet; imámové vystupují s rouškami. V zemích, kde vládne spíše neoficiální autorita jednotlivých duchovních, dostali věřící doporučení: např. vlivný Ajatolláh Sístání v Iráku vyzval věřící k protiepidemickým opatřením a k vyvarování se náboženských shromáždění. Podobě i v Indonésii se vyslovily organizace islámských duchovních na podporu sociálního odstupu a Jakarta zavřela mešity; v některých místech největšího muslimského státu, rozprostírajícího se na tisíci ostrovů, ale shromáždění pokračovala. V Pákistánu vyjednávala vláda se zástupci náboženských skupin, ale ne všechny dodržují její doporučení. Sama vláda ale v polovině března zastavila pozdě čtvrtmiliónové mezinárodní setkání skupiny Taglihi Jamaat, a umožnila tak šíření právě začínající nákazy.  Další zásadní omezení se bude týkat i dvou z pěti zbývajících rituálů. Na konci dubna začíná postní měsíc ramadán, ve kterém je zvykem po večerech držet společné modlitby v mešitě (taráwíh) a pořádat společná ukončení každodenního půstu v rodinném kruhu či ve společnosti jiných věřících a sousedů. Tento „iftár“ zcela jistě nebude probíhat jako obvykle. Dále pouť do Mekky (hadždž), jejíž rituální sezóna začne v červeni, se nejspíš nebude konat. Už dnes jsou hranice Saúdské Arábie zavřené Íráncům, Kaaba v Mekce nedostupná, což platí i pro mešitu al-Aqsá v Jeruzalémě a ostatní centrální mešity. Pandemie ukázala zcela jednoznačně, že logika osobní a kolektivní bezpečnosti a národního zájmu převládá nad logikou náboženských povinností, jak to ostatně stipuluje i řada šaríatských pravidel. Dnešní situace je ale bez precedentu: ke zrušení hromadných pátečních modliteb nikdy od jejich zavedení v 7. století nedošlo. Negativně pandemii naopak využívají nestátní aktéři pro vlastní agendu: al-Káida tak označila nákazu za boží trest za mravní zkaženost, ale i tato se připojila k protipandemickým opatřením. Tzv. Islámský stát zvýšil svou aktivitu v Sýrii a v Iráku. Stejně jako v jiných zemích se pandemie stala předmětem konspiračních teorií, v Turecku např. spojovaných s protiamerickou a pročínskou propagandou.   Článek patří do série deseti textů, které se na koronavirovou pandemii nezaměřují z lékařského hlediska, ale z perspektivy toho, jak pandemie komplikuje život společnosti a politiky. Record 4 Million Robots on Factory Floors Worldwide

Frankfurt (Germany) September 24th 2024 (PROTEXT/ots) - • World Robotics 2024 Report by International Federation of Robotics released The new World Robotics report recorded 4,281,585 units operating in factories worldwide - an increase of 10%. Annual installations exceeded half a million units for the third consecutive year. By region, 70% of all newly deployed robots 2023 were installed in Asia, 17% in Europe and 10% in the Americas.  “The new World Robotics statistics show an all-time high in the number of industrial robots automating production around the world,” says Marina Bill, President of the International Federation of Robotics. “The annual installation figure of 541,302 units in 2023 is the second highest in history. It is only 2% lower than the record of 552,946 units installed in 2022.”Asia, Europe and the Americas - overview China is by far the world´s largest market. The 276,288 industrial robots installed in 2023 represent 51% of the global installations. This result is the second highest level ever recorded (2022: 290,144 units). The share of Chinese manufacturers in the domestic market has grown considerably since 2022, reaching 47% in 2023. It has fluctuated around 28% over the past decade. The operational stock was just shy of the 1.8-million-unit-mark in 2023, making China the first and only country in the world with such a large robot stock. Demand for robots is expected to accelerate in the second half of 2024, contributing to a more stable market by the end of the year. In the longer term, there is still a lot of growth potential in Chinese manufacturing, with the potential for 5-10% average annual growth until 2027. Japan remained the second largest global market for industrial robots, behind China. Robot installations reached 46,106 units in 2023 - down 9%. This followed two strong years, peaking at 50,435 units in 2022 - the second-best result after 2018 (55,240 units). Demand for robots is expected to remain stagnant in 2024 but recover in 2025 and the following years to medium and upper single-digit rates. The market in the Republic of Korea is trending sideways: Installations reached 31,444 units in 2023 - down 1% year-on-year. The country was the fourth largest robot market in the world in terms of annual installations, after the United States, Japan, and China. India is one of the fastest growing emerging Asian economies. Robot installations increased by 59% to 8,510 units in 2023, a new high. Demand from the automotive industry soared to 3,551 units - an increase of 139%. Both car manufacturers and suppliers contributed to this development.     Europe Industrial robot installations in Europe rose 9% to a new high of 92,393 units. In total, 80% of installations in 2023 could be attributed to destinations in the European Union (73,534 units, up by 2%). Delayed projects were completed, and the backlog was cleared in 2023. Robot demand in the region also benefited from the nearshoring trend. In 2023, growth was strongly driven by the automotive industry investing in traditionally strong car manufacturing countries such as Spain (5,053 units +31%) but also in smaller markets such as Slovakia (2,174 units, +48%) or Hungary (1,657 units, +31%). Installations in Germany, the largest European market and the only European one in the global top five, were up 7% to 28,355 units. Installations in the second largest European market, Italy, declined by 9% to 10,412 units. The third largest European market, France, was down 13%, installing 6,386 units. In the UK, industrial robot installations increased by 51% to 3,830 units in 2023. Investment was driven by installations in the automotive industry, mainly for assembly tasks. The Americas  Robot installations in the Americas exceeded 50,000 units for the third year in a row: 55,389 units were installed in 2023, just 1% below the record level reached 2022. The United States, the largest regional market, accounted for 68% of installations in the Americas in 2023. Robot installations were down by 5% to 37,587, this is the third highest record figure after 2022 and 2018. Demand from the automotive industry fell by 15% to 12,421 units. This was in line with the average for the past decade. Installations in the metal and machinery industry were up 8% to 4,171 units. Installations in the US electrical/electronics industry remained steady at 3,900 units (+1%). In Canada, robot installations rose 37% to 4,311 units. Installation figures in Canada largely depend on automotive investment cycles. The share of the car industry was 58% in 2023.  Robot demand in Mexico is driven by the automotive industry, which accounts for 70% of the market: Installations from this sector fell by 5% to 4,087 units, showing the cyclical demand pattern well known in this customer segment. Total installations reached 5,832 units in 2023, a decrease of 3%. Outlook The OECD expects global growth to stabilize. However, geopolitical headwinds are still perceived as a major risk and uncertainty factor. Recent crises have raised political awareness of domestic production capacity in strategic industries. Automation allows manufacturers to locate production in developed economies without sacrificing cost efficiency. By 2024, the global economic downturn will have bottomed out. Global robot installations are expected to level off at 541,000 units. Growth is expected to accelerate in 2025 and continue in 2026 and 2027. If you use same password on other forum sites change it asap It seems a group is after the long-time Team-Xecuter site that been Rockin' the Xbox Scene since early 2000, and were able to finally 'steal' their database and are trying to un-hash their passwords!! Team-Xecuter has been famous for over a decade in hacking into the original Xbox and Xbox 360, and hopefully in the near future the Xbox One, but it seems someone decided to turn the tables on them and hack TX's big official support forum. Here is official statement from TX regarding what happen: We recently moved to a new server and stupidly left our backend open for an easy attack which has now been fixed. Luckily the guys who gained access left their muddy prints all over the place so it was easy to clean up. What we did find out was more interesting. Who did it, why they did it. If you want a quality hack, use someone who isn't going to leave their signature all over the place and take 5 minutes to find out who they are and have half their team rat out the other half. Hackers have been trying to do this for years and this weekend succeeded due to a stupid failure on our part to button up a few holes in our backed after we moved to a new server, making it easier for lesser skilled individuals. If you have an account with us you can now assume that your email and password is now in their possession. We highly recommend you change your password here on the Xecuter forums and if you use the password anywhere else that you change it too - there is a maximum probability that it is now, or will be in the very near future compromised. No passwords are stored in clear text of course, they are all hashed but we are very skilled in this area and know there are ways around this so we can only assume they know the same tricks that we do so it is only a matter of time. These guys attempted to install a crappy keylogger too, it didn't work of course, it was a mess so no worries there. We're not sure who to reach out to at se7ensins but i'm sure this will no doubt reach their ears in good time. Šíření koronaviru v islámském světě

Ze zemí islámského světa zasáhla pandemie v první vlně nejprve Singapur a Írán. Každá z těchto zemí reagovala velmi odlišně a s odlišnými výsledky. V islámském světě byly v polovině dubna nejpostiženějšími zeměmi Írán (73 303 nemocných/4 585 úmrtí) a poté Turecko (61 049/1 296), které se umístily na osmém a devátém místě světového počtu nákaz. Dalšími, méně postiženými zeměmi, avšak s rostoucími počty nakažených, byly Pákistán (5 500/266) a Saúdská Arábie (5 495/472), Spojené arabské emiráty (5 000 nakažených), Katar (3 231/252) a Singapur (2 918/385). K méně nakaženým patřily Egypt (2 190/125), Alžírsko (1 983/69), Maroko (1 763/102), Irák (1 378/26), Bahrajn (1 348/212), Kuvajt (1 300/66), Ázerbájdžán (1 148/50), Kazachstán (1 091/140), Bangladéš (803/182), Omán (727/128), Tunisko (726/19), Afghánistán (665/58), Libanon (632/2). Uvedená čísla je ale nutné brát s rezervou: jen málokterá země masivně testuje a zjištěné počty nakažených i zemřelých se často nezakládají na srovnatelných metodách. Přesto lze říci, že pandemie prostoupila celým islámským světem, přičemž Írán, Singapur a Turecko byly mezi prvními; rovněž lze konstatovat, že veškeré země přijímají ve více či menší míře podobná protipandemická opatření. Odpovědi na pandemii Odpovědi islámských zemí jsou různorodé v závislosti na síle, centralizaci a zdrojích státního aparátu. Výjimečným případem je hypermoderní ostrovní autoritářský stát Singapur, ve kterém se podařilo nákazu rychle a efektivně omezit v samém začátku krize díky kolektivní hygieně, dodržování odstupu, vysoké informovanosti a spolupráci občanů, masivnímu testování a karanténním opatřením. Dalšími oběťmi nákazy jsou dva podobně lidnaté a relativně vyspělé a akceschopné státy. Irán patří k silně zasaženým zemím, a to v druhé vlně, v samém začátku globální pandemie. I kvůli tomuto rychlému šíření přišla reakce státu s určitým zpožděním a nekoherentně: opatření se stupňovala, nedosáhla úrovně restrikcí řady jiných zemí. Přes modernizované zdravotnictví je íránská schopnost reakce silně omezená jednostranným embargem USA, které kriminalizuje obchod s Íránem. Země má tedy potíže vyvážet plyn a ropu – jejichž cena navíc silně klesla – a dovážet zdravotnický materiál. Írán tak zůstává nejvíce nakaženou muslimskou zemí. Afghánští uprchlíci, často žijící v Íránu v ilegalitě, se masivně vracejí domů. Další silně zasažená země, Turecko, postupně přijala řadu striktních protiepidemických opatření jako uzavírání škol, a dokonce i uzavření třiceti jedna měst, zastavení veřejných akcí a nošení státem zajištěných neplacených roušek. I tak se Turecko v první polovině dubna stalo jednou ze zemí s nejrychleji se šířící nákazou. Přes vysoké počty nakažených prohlašují í Írán i Turecko odpověď na nákazu za úspěšnou. Turecko v dubnu snížilo optimismus a přidalo další restrikce, ale snaží se plnit svou roli regionální mocnosti humanitárními gesty (více dole). Naopak Íránu se podle WHO podařilo zpomalit růst nákazy a začíná uvolňovat určité protipandemické restrikce, ale zachovává nařízení sociálního odstupu. Měsíc po oficiálním vypuknutí globální pandemie lze už říct, že sanitární krize je zátěžovým testem pro vládní akceschopnost, ale i příležitostí pro prosazování státních politik. Ropné státy jako Saúdská Arábie a Alžírsko budou muset čelit menším příjmům z důvodu poklesu cen ropy a také oslabené legitimitě stávajících režimů. Írán, Irák, Alžírsko i Súdán se během loňského podzimu staly dějištěm masových protivládních protestů – ty krize sice zastavila, ale naopak uvalila další zkoušku na už tak kritizované vlády. Protipandemická opatření totiž přinášejí krátkodobou stabilitu, ale utlumení ekonomiky a omezení obživy početných chudých může vést k výraznému oslabení vlád – jež zpravidla nedisponují fondy na omezení sociálních dopadů. Proto jsou opatření zpravidla přijímána také až pod tlakem alarmujících čísel. Pákistánský premiér tak v polovině března nebyl ochoten přistoupit na přísný zákaz vycházení, jak to učinila sousední Indie, protože čtvrtina obyvatelstva „by zemřela hladem“. Jiné země jsou naopak schopny vidět v krizi příležitost k vehementnímu prosazování nesouvisejících vládních politik. Turecko využilo krize k humanitární diplomacii. Přes pozastavené diplomatické vztahy mezi ním a Izraelem podpořilo zdravotnickým materiálem palestinskou samosprávu a Velkou Británii, jakož i Itálii, Španělsko a balkánské země. Maroko se zase chystá využít tvrdé restrikce, nabízené kompenzace a chytrou karanténu ke zvýšení informovanosti o vlastním obyvatelstvu a větší kontrole veřejných projevů. V Kosovu opozice s pomocí USA položila vládu a otevřela ústavní krizi v samém začátku epidemie. Všude, i v méně zasažených zemích, jakými jsou Súdán a Alžírsko, vlády postupně přistoupily k omezení pohybu na veřejnosti, letecké dopravy a masových akcí a k zavírání obchodů a škol. Ve všech zemích budou mít restriktivní opatření dopady na ekonomiku, zejména v těch, které nemají finanční zásoby – jako např. Jordánsko. V těch nejméně rozvinutých či zasažených válkou lze očekávat devastující dopady na zdraví a obživu chudých vrstev obyvatelstva a také šíření nákazy mezi těmi, kdo závisejí na šedé ekonomice jako zdroji obživy. Země postižené válkou, nestabilitou nebo chudobou jako Jemen, Sýrie, Afghánistán a Súdán – nedisponují dostatečnou lékařskou péčí, ventilátory, testy a ani finanční rezervou pro financování protipandemických opatření. Právě ve velkém počtu zemí ve válečném stavu lze přes dosavadní pomalý průběh očekávat nezvladatelné vypuknutí epidemie. Náboženství a karanténa Pandemie výrazně omezila a omezí náboženská shromáždění. Islámské instituce s určitým zdráháním přijaly restriktivní opatření. První je byl nucen učinit Írán: nákaza se zřejmě šířila z Qomu, politického centra íránského šíitského islámu. Tam ji v začátku, ještě před vypuknutím otevřené krize, pravděpodobně urychlily hromadné náboženské rituály a koncentrace vysoce mobilních funkcionářů islámské republiky. Irán se tak stal jednou ze zemí, kde nejenže se nakazili vedoucí politici, ale kde jich i řada zemřela. V Pákistánu a v Indii byly podobně jako v Jižní Koreji rané případy šíření nákazy spojené s globální misijní skupinou Tablihi Jamaat, která organizuje masová shromáždění. Centra hnutí v Dilí, v Láhauru v Pákistánu a v Malajsii jsou podezřelá jako ohniska šíření. V Indii se o této skupině a o muslimech obecně šíří poplašné zprávy a existující komunitní napětí mezi většinovými hinduisty a menšinovými muslimy se prohlubuje. Během března muslimové po celém světě omezili nebo zcela zastavili stěžejní islámský rituál a jeden z tzv. pilířů islámu, společnou páteční modlitbu. Pro svou hromadnost a rituální blízkost při řazení se do tzv. saffů, řad, je páteční rituál vysoce riskantní. První zemí, která toto zásadní opatření přijala, byl Írán. Jiné země se pokoušely sloučit páteční modlitby a tzv. sociální odstup, ale neúspěšně. Dnes už žádné páteční modlitby neprobíhají v nejméně dvanácti větších muslimských zemích, které byly nejvíce postiženy nákazou, a další postupně přibývají. Nákaza ukázala i různé formy náboženské organizace neboli tzv. governance of islam. V centralizovaných zemích se silným státem a státním dozorem nad náboženskými organizacemi, jako je Írán, Turecko, Saúdská Arábie a Egypt, bylo toto opatření možné rychle přijmout a vynutit. V Turecku zavření mešit oznámil ministr náboženských záležitostí Ali Erbaš a jeho úřad nechal doplnit tradiční výzvu k modlitbě (tzv. ezán) doporučením modlit se doma. Jinde se modlitba z prázdných mešit přenáší mikrofony či přes internet; imámové vystupují s rouškami. V zemích, kde vládne spíše neoficiální autorita jednotlivých duchovních, dostali věřící doporučení: např. vlivný Ajatolláh Sístání v Iráku vyzval věřící k protiepidemickým opatřením a k vyvarování se náboženských shromáždění. Podobě i v Indonésii se vyslovily organizace islámských duchovních na podporu sociálního odstupu a Jakarta zavřela mešity; v některých místech největšího muslimského státu, rozprostírajícího se na tisíci ostrovů, ale shromáždění pokračovala. V Pákistánu vyjednávala vláda se zástupci náboženských skupin, ale ne všechny dodržují její doporučení. Sama vláda ale v polovině března zastavila pozdě čtvrtmiliónové mezinárodní setkání skupiny Taglihi Jamaat, a umožnila tak šíření právě začínající nákazy.  Další zásadní omezení se bude týkat i dvou z pěti zbývajících rituálů. Na konci dubna začíná postní měsíc ramadán, ve kterém je zvykem po večerech držet společné modlitby v mešitě (taráwíh) a pořádat společná ukončení každodenního půstu v rodinném kruhu či ve společnosti jiných věřících a sousedů. Tento „iftár“ zcela jistě nebude probíhat jako obvykle. Dále pouť do Mekky (hadždž), jejíž rituální sezóna začne v červeni, se nejspíš nebude konat. Už dnes jsou hranice Saúdské Arábie zavřené Íráncům, Kaaba v Mekce nedostupná, což platí i pro mešitu al-Aqsá v Jeruzalémě a ostatní centrální mešity. Pandemie ukázala zcela jednoznačně, že logika osobní a kolektivní bezpečnosti a národního zájmu převládá nad logikou náboženských povinností, jak to ostatně stipuluje i řada šaríatských pravidel. Dnešní situace je ale bez precedentu: ke zrušení hromadných pátečních modliteb nikdy od jejich zavedení v 7. století nedošlo. Negativně pandemii naopak využívají nestátní aktéři pro vlastní agendu: al-Káida tak označila nákazu za boží trest za mravní zkaženost, ale i tato se připojila k protipandemickým opatřením. Tzv. Islámský stát zvýšil svou aktivitu v Sýrii a v Iráku. Stejně jako v jiných zemích se pandemie stala předmětem konspiračních teorií, v Turecku např. spojovaných s protiamerickou a pročínskou propagandou.   Článek patří do série deseti textů, které se na koronavirovou pandemii nezaměřují z lékařského hlediska, ale z perspektivy toho, jak pandemie komplikuje život společnosti a politiky.
